Xenome Glossary

Biometal - A very valuable living metal brought back from Huhsis, used to build weapons and rebuild structures.
Chemist - Given the proper materials and funds, the chemist can create powerful XNA abilities and traits for people to implant.
Cure - Toxic radiation that was released upon the topside of the Earth in order to combat the Plague. It decimated most of the population and mutated the rest.
Eledopamine - A drug that stopped people from dying of natural causes, overpopulating the world and eventually leading to the Plague.
Embedded Memory Technology - A technology that mirrors the memory of a person and is placed into another body. Generally, the original body is disposed of, but it isn't unheard of to have multiple bodies implanted with the same memory image.
Expedition Team - A large group of people that left the Earth onboard the ship “Prime” in search of other inhabitable planets.
Fragment - Valuable pieces of history sought after by both Union and Prime.
Holocube - see also Fragment. A holographic device used to store information. Most hostorical information has been found on holocubes.
Huhsis - The planet discovered by the Expedition team; home of Biometal and Molemen.
Mepha Therma - The former metropolis and technological epicenter of the world. Members of Union lived in the underground during the Plague and subsequent “Cure.”
Molemen - A small alien race native to Huhsis, skilled at training Biometal.
Nuker - A race of mutated humans who were stranded topside on the earth's surface during the Plague and subsequent "Cure".
Peaktown - A small city that resides on top of a volcano, serving as both a place of legitimate business and the seedy underbelly of many other dealings.
Pinger - A device used to instantly transport a person from one point to another via genetic reconstitution.
Plague - Overpopulation and lack of resources lead to the breakout of a great illness among Earth's population. Later resolved with the release of the Cure.
Prime - One of the most powerful factions in the world. Formerly known as the Expedition Team, Prime has been recruiting members of Union to their cause. Enemy of Union.
Prime III - The name of the ship that the Expedition Team used to return to Earth.
Resilience Corporation - The company responsible for such technological advances as Pinging, Eledopamine, and Embedded memory technology.
Roach Cult - An amiable, if somewhat gun-crazed group of people used as peacekeepers in and around Peaktown.
Shattered League - A group of individuals devoted to obtaining Fragments. May be part of either Union or Prime faction but their loyalty remains with the League.
S-Mart - Stores found throughout the world. Usually the home of Chemists and other merchants.
Tanners - Most universal form of currency in use in the world of Xenome.
"The Cure" - see Cure.
"The Plague" - see Plague.
Union - The oldest and most powerful faction in the world, came to power in the middle of the 21st Century. Enemy of Prime.
XNA - Xenonucleic Acid, the material implanted into a person in order to give them special abilities or traits. XNA material can be found in the form of genes (i.e. a strength gene) or as Keystones. Keystones usually contain the genetic pattern necessary to form a complete chromosome.
