Warrior in its natural habitat

Common Name: Warrior

Scientific Name: N/A

Height: ~2.5-3m

Weight: ~145-190kg (320-425 lbs)

Bio

A towering humanoid monster, clad in salvaged wasteland battle-armor. The Warrior is the soldier-class of a Nuker tribe. The worker ant. Though he lacks the same level of mental functionality as the Noble, he excels in raw power and imposing physical stature.

Being a genetic powerhouse allows the Warrior to withstand multiple bullet wounds and close in with its trademark shield and melee weapon. And it's these times, trainees, that you'll wish you had remained underground.

Extremely violent, and prone to unprovoked attacks and maulings, the Warrior is nonetheless loyal to his tribe, and seems to understand the purpose of his station in life. He is fearless, and will charge at any threat he perceives, regardless of consequence.

More is probably known about the Warrior than any other Nuker, as they were the primary unit sent to attack civilized settlements during the Nuker Wars. In groups, the units seem to thrive off of brutality, and the fervor of battle seems to incite a sort of bloodlust within them. There are several documented instances of Warriors attempting to one-up each other by impressive feats of combat when in battle.

What horrific mutation lies underneath the helmet is still unknown, as no recorded full-on battle with the Nukers has ever resulted in victory. Nukers always collect their dead, which leaves little evidence that they were ever there in the first place.

Tribal Role

From a caste perspective, the Warrior is a provider. Often, they salvage metal and goods to bring them back to the tribe. They are a front-line fighter in combat who take orders primarily from the Nobles, whom they highly respect for their ability to problem solve and efficiently use a firearm.

Generally, this Nuker flaunts its loyalty to a tribe by painting its tribe symbol or colors on its shield, much in the way a medieval standard-bearer would. Make no mistake about it though, recruit. This is no shining knight. This is a fierce combatant looking to cleave your head from your shoulders for being a human being.

Fighting The Warrior *

An angry warrior

There is only one way to fight the Warrior. At a distance. He will not stop closing in on you until you either drop him or retreat. Use speed to your advantage, and keep him unaware of your location, or unable to catch up to you.  If you have the unfortunate experience of being within arms length of a warrior, keep an eye on its shield, which will be used as another weapon.

With these sound tactics, you will prevent your untimely death at the hand of this savage.

* Fighting a Warrior in melee combat is strategically unsound. This method is ill-advised. This particular Nuker unit is fond of bashing an enemy with its shield, with devastating results. You have been warned!
